The Angels Network (TAN) is an organization of women who understand that knowledge sharing, mentoring and charitable giving reaps tremendous rewards.

We held our first network reception in January of 2000.  Jim Kimsey, Founder and Chairman Emeritus of AOL, hosted the gathering at the City Club in Washington DC.

We had no idea where we were going with this idea! But by the end of the evening we did know that there was a real need and desire by women to be able to come together in a comfortable environment where they could talk, eat, drink, laugh and give back to the community.

Our founding board members worked very hard to lay the foundation for the successes we have enjoyed over the last two years.  We have been very fortunate to have friends within the business community who have repeatedly answered our calls for help.  TAN has grown a network of truly remarkable women who believe in and know the value of helping others.

Benjamin Franklin once said, “All mankind is divided into three classes: those that are immovable, those that are movable and those that move.”  The community of The Angels Network clearly falls within the category that moves!
