| New Hope Housing |

New Hope Housing is an innovative, award-winning nonprofit agency in Northern Virginia providing shelter, transitional and permanent supportive housing, outreach and prevention assistance, and support services for homeless families and single adults. New Hope Housing is committed to finding creative and lasting solutions to end the cycle of homelessness by offering homeless women, men and children the services they need to change their lives and succeed. And we believe that each individual success story contributes to a stronger, healthier community for all of us. Each year New Hope Housing’s programs and services touch the lives of over 1,200 individuals, including 240 children. |

Alternative House: Abused and Homeless Children’s Refuge
Alternative House works to keep young people safe and provide positive options to help them reach their full potential. Founded in 1972 as a shelter for runaway youth, Alternative House still provides this core service.
However, as times have changed, Alternative House has grown to help children, youth and families meet new challenges. The Community-Based Youth Services, Assisting Young Mothers program, Homeless Youth Initiative, and 24-Hour Crisis Hotline all further the mission of Alternative House to transform the lives of at-risk children, youth and their families in our changing community.
