“Art Angels” Reception Raises $20K for N Street Village
The Angels Network sponsored a fall fundraising reception and networking event on October 18th at Commerce Bank in McLean. The reception benefited the local Washington DC charity N Street Village, which empowers homeless and low-income women in the DC area to find their highest quality of life. The event raised a total of $20,000 for the charity; $10,000 was generously donated by Boeing. Dominique Dawes, Olympian gold medalist and champion of the N Street Village mission, was a special guest at the event and spoke about her passion for empowering all women.
At the reception, guests had an opportunity to make new contacts, enjoy outstanding food and wine, enrich their art collection, and compete with each other in bidding on unusual and distinctive auction items. The Art Angels auction featured a stunning painting by local artist Mary Fanning, as well as an in-home spa package, dinner at The Palm in Tysons Corner, and tickets to a Washington Capitals game.
N Street Village provides a wide range of facilities, including day and night centers, a wellness center, affordable housing, employment services, and addiction recovery programs.
If you were unable to attend the event, donations may be made to The Angels Network/NVCF, 6625 Haltwhistle Lane, Alexandria, VA 22315.
